In
South Africa (SA), a 6-year-old boy identified as Thembani Mabaso has
been reported dead after he received sweets from a stranger. According
to DailySun SA, on Monday, November 14, the boy’s mother, 27-year-old
Lihle Zondo from Wattville, Ekurhuleni, South Africa, rushed her son to
hospital with stomach pains but it was already too late. Unfortunately,
the boy died in his mum’s arms.
The
boy’s mother said: “It was about 4.15pm when Thembani came back home
screaming. He threw himself on the floor as he held his stomach. He was
in serious pain. He told us the stranger gave him a sweet on his way
back from school. He died on his way to hospital after he stopped
breathing.” Lihle said her child was a very happy boy who always made
her smile and hoped that they find the person responsible for her son’s
death. A case of inquest was opened at the Actonville Police Station
regarding the death of Thembani and they are currently investigating the
case.
